I had the distinct pleasure of volunteering for “Pedals and Prosthetics” mountain bike event today. This was hosted by “Ampt Biking” as a celebration of having fun on bikes for amputees and adaptive riders at the YMCA of the Rockies. I was fortunate to ride with “Bad @ss” Dan Marshall on his Hand Cycle. We climbed almost 900 feet in 3 miles of climbing single track from Boone Hall to the top of Bible Point.

It was so steep in sections his back tire was grasping for purchase in the dirt. His quote made me smile because I do not hear this from people I ride with: “This climb is fun!”
