In 2014, Estes Park applied for recognition as a Bike Friendly Community through the League of American Bicyclists. The town was designated with an Honorable Mention by the national organization and was provided with a customized “report card” listing steps towards earning a bronze. Some members last week expressed interest in using the report card as a check list for projects.
