We need volunteers to staff 2 aid stations during the Buffalo Bicycle Classic, September 9, 2018.

One station is at the shoulder across from Van Horne Engineering & Surveying at 1043 Fish Creek Rd, and the other at the intersection of CO-72 and CO-7

The Coalition is receiving funds for manning these aid stations and these funds help in all that the Coalition does !

We plan for the aid station in Estes to be full service with water and hydration products, food, portable toilets, EMT, bicycle maintenance, etc. The aid station at CO-72&CO-7 will be smaller, but will include water and hydration products, food, and toilets. It will be extremely helpful to have a few experienced cyclists at CO-72&CO-7 to advise riders of the route length and difficulty from there to Estes Park, encourage struggling riders to proceed along the easier Epic-75 route directly down CO-7 to Lyons, and help emphasize the cutoff-time for riders to proceed north on CO-7 to Estes Park.

CO72&CO7: five-to-six people
SAG: two-to-three people

We are celebrating our 11th Anniversary as a race organization. Each year of racing has been a lot of fun! Our event has grown and developed to be a successful destination race, which could not be achieved without your involvement. We thank you for being part of our team!
We are currently checking in with you about your availability to volunteer during the weekend of June 21st and 22nd, 2013. Volunteer positions are available throughout race weekend, for varying time durations and locations. Whether you can spare 2 hours or the whole weekend, we welcome your participation!

On June 21st , we have our KIDS FUN RUN! and festival at Bond Park, 10:30am – 3:00pm. This event offers live music, games, bouncing obstacle course, face painting, and a fun run for ages 4 to 12years.

On June 22nd , we have our running races, which follow Estes Park’s scenic paths and roadways. In 2012 the popular magazine, Colorado Runner, awarded the Estes Park Marathon as the ‘Most Scenic Race’ in the state. Races include Marathon, Half Marathon,10k, 5k and Marathon Team Relay.

The Estes Park Marathon is a 501c4, non-profit organization. We dedicate our fundraising towards youth programs throughout the Estes Park valley.

Volunteer positions:

  • Road Marshal (need to wear assigned orange vest and possible race radio)
  • Registration table (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Start line race bib checker
  • Finish line meet and greet
  • Post Race Party (food distribution)
  • Course set up/break down team member
  • And more!
